Malibu Presbyterian

Malibu, California

Originally, the Malibu Presbyterian Church was a typical mid-twentieth century design, with a rectangular nave that distanced the congregation from the altar. Irwin Partners Architects created a more engaging environment in the same building by moving the nave to the long side of the rectangle. The redesign brings all worshippers closer to the altar and to the live musical performances that are central to the Church’s services.
